and jumped to their death in order to avoid a marriage arranged
for the girl with a Spanish occupation officer. It is located
to the north of Tumon Bay and is an icon of Guam.

This
small island exists a few kilometers south of Guam. This tiny
island is surrounded by white sand beaches and water so clear,
you can see straight to the bottom. There are many activities
on this island and represents the image of a "tropical island"
perfectly. |

Located
in the southern part of Guam, it is an impressive, 3-part
waterfall, as wide as 20 meters, and as high as 9 meters at
some places. A cable car runs to this waterfall. Yokoi Shouichi,
who did not believe the war was over, hid in a cave near this
waterfall for many years after Japan surrendered.

is the business district of Guam featuring many hotels, shops,
and restaurants. Tumon beach is very beautiful with crystal
clear water. There are many activities hosted here and is very
popular among tourists. |

Apra
Harbor Navel Station is located here. Many ships from aircraft
carriers to submarines can be seen here. This is a popular diving
spot. |

WON PAT Guam International Airport has 2 parallel runways.
One is 3000 meters long and is used for jets such as the 747
Jumbo Jet. The second 2600 meter runway is used for smaller
aircraft.

Located
in the lush inner part of Guam, LeoPalace Resort features
a full, 36 hole golf course. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicholson
have designed some of the courses. It is famous for its use
by the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants as a winter training camp.

This
hideaway beach is located at the northern tip of Guam. It has
the whitest sand and the clearest water found anyway on this
island. Sadly, swimming is prohibited because of rough seas
in this area. However, this beach is worth visiting just for
the sights. |
